Canon- Pre-production: logistical elements
Resource list
Here, this is the resource list with everything I will need for the advertorial/print advert. Using this, I am much more organised, and I feel like I can fulfil the deadlines expected of me. Moreover, I did this to ensure I am going to be well-equipped for the days I need to take pictures as this allows me to be able to get the equipment prepared. In the industry, this would be vital so then the crew and producer can be organised and no money would be wasted if the crew were not told to be at a certain date so then the responsibility of the contingency plan being triggered would be because of the crew and not the disorganisation of the producer.
Personnel list
Here, this is the people needed for the advert and what there role would. For this project, it is not needed nor required of me to work with others thus I decided it would be in my best interest to do this project alone as I am very organised so I can handle all of the priorities required for the print advert. In the industry, this would be vital to keep organisation and not waste any money certain days due to disorganisation. Due to the fact I am working by myself, I will overcome any issues I will face when it comes to the photography as I will practice the time function to improve my skills with photography.
Location Scouting
Overall, with the test shots, they were a good start with the variety of different shots of my setup however I need to clean my setup as it is a bit disorganised which would make the final product suffer more. I should also try to improve the lighting as that will help visually please my target audience.
Overall, using my research, I came to the conclusion that my house and the editing room at Sunderland College would be the best and the most suitable locations as they are the easiest locations to bring equipment making it more accessible. In the industry, this would be vital so then there would be more options and so they can explore and expand there areas of interest.
Here, these are the locations I wanted to use and the paperwork so then I could legally shoot footage in these areas. Using this, Using this, I am much more organised, and I feel like I can fulfil the deadlines expected of me.
Weather Check
Due to the fact I am going to take all of my shots internally, there was not much of a need to do a weather check however in the case of a natural disaster, I still decided it would be best to check anyways as a precautionary. Using this, I can be confident that I will run into minimal weather related issues. In the industry, this would be vital as if they didn't check the weather reports, they could end up wasting time, effort and money thus this would keep them more organised.
Contracts
Here, this contract is useful as this allows me to not have to worry about things going wrong as much during the production stage as although there are bound to be issues, with this, if there are any injuries sustained in the making of this product I can rectify the issue as quickly as possible without many complications. Using this, I feel like I can fulfil the deadlines expected of me with a high quality final product. I did this to ensure I can be well-equipped for any particular situation that could go wrong thus making myself more organised.
Here, this is the risk assessment I had to do so then I knew the risks of shooting in the locations that I will use for my print advert. Using this for my print advert, I am much more organised, and I feel like I can fulfil the deadlines expected of me. In addition, I did this to make sure I can be well-equipped for any particular thing that could go wrong. If I did not do this, I would be endangering myself as there could be a serious health hazard unchecked if I did not check for hazards and in the industry, you would be held legally accountable if there was an injury in the workplace from an unchecked hazard.
